Bruce Trail

Over the summer after graduating from university, I decided to go out and hike the Bruce Trail. However, I found it frustrating that there were no good GPS maps of the route (I tried this source, but found that it was a bit out of date, and incomplete). So, I decided to sift through data that I found from Toronto Geocaching and extract bruce trail gps data.

After manually going through the data for hours(I didnt feel like writing any softare), and with a bit of help from GPS Visualizer I ended up sorting the data into .gpx files. Since it took me such a long time to aggregate the data, Ive decided to open it up for download, in case you'd like to save yourself from getting lost while on the trail.

bruce trail-maps.zip
bruce trail .gpx files split up by individual map numbers

bruce trail-section.zip
bruce trail .gpx files split up by trail section

Below is a view of the full map, detailing how the sections are split up in the sections zip file. The maps zip file is split up my individual map, as found in the Bruce Trail Reference Guide 27th edition. The map can also be viewed on the Bruce Trail Website

I ended up buying the hard copy of the maps, since I couldnt risk getting lost (or losing battery power).
